Community Equipping

Why community equipping?

We believe that God transforms communities through the global Church.

Our trainers equip churches to assess and address their community’s barriers to accessing God’s Word.

Our community equipping process:

1

Our Training Team begins by working with communities to determine what they need and how Word Collective can equip them.

2

Next, we train some combination of storycrafting, church planting, and Bible translation training.

  • Storycrafting helps oral communicators create accurate and understandable Bible stories and Bible story sets that they can easily share and use in discipleship.

  • Church planting combines storycrafting and church planting best practices so believers can build and disciple healthy churches in their own and neighboring communities.

  • Church-Based Bible Translation helps those churches translate God’s Word into their own languages.

3

After and during training we spend months or years investing in trainees and raising up local trainers who multiply themselves and their learning in their own and neighboring communities.

4

Finally, our trainers use the knowledge they gain as practitioners to develop and constantly refine the materials and processes they use.
