Why trauma healing?
People who have experienced trauma have difficulty understanding and accepting God’s hope, healing, and Word.
Billions of people throughout the world currently live with trauma:
122.6 million people have been forcibly displaced
1 billion children have experienced violence
¼ of people live in conflict zones
1 in 3 women has experienced sexual violence
How Word Collective does trauma healing:
Since 2016 the Multiplying Hope initiative has equipped lay people to walk alongside people dealing with emotional pain and build flourishing, healthy communities.
In 2025 Multiplying Hope joined forces with Word Collective. Here’s how Multiplying Hope informs our work:
1
Multiplying Hope resources provide training, resources, tools, and paradigms of trauma healing for communities of believers who want to build healthy, multiplying communities of healing and support.
2
All our holistic Bible translation projects and equipping projects incorporate trauma-healing tools into their projects or use trauma-informed paradigms.
3
We run our organization and build our team in trauma-informed ways.
Multiplying Hope’s impact:
““This is listening redefined. I love this new approach — it gives you the space to tell your full story, your whole story, in a way that feels right. It’s the best way to truly listen to others.””

Our trauma healing resources:
Multiplying Hope proves resources, training, and consultancy for anyone working in communities that have experienced hurt.
Our core offerings include:
-
Resources that train participants to have initial or one-time conversations with those who have experienced trauma.
-
Resources for those experiencing fresh trauma, who may not be ready for in-depth healing groups. These resources are designed to provide basic and immediate trauma-informed mental health support.
-
Resources that create and foster healing communities in which people work through their own trauma and learn to walk alongside others who also have experienced trauma.
-
Walking alongside churches as they create safe, healthy, and fruitful spaces based on God's Word, where ongoing discipleship, church planting, and leadership development flourish.
-
We help organizations and churches make everything they do trauma informed. We build ongoing relationships and invite people using Multiplying Hope principles to communities of practice and cohorts.
