Latin America Projects
There are people throughout Latin America who feel hopeless. In some countries, flooding, hurricanes, fires, and fuel and food shortages have devastated entire communities. In others, church leaders struggle to encourage their congregations or find it hard to communicate the Gospel to their neighbors.
In spite of this, Latin American churches are stepping up to respond to disasters and meet their communities’ spiritual needs. Through strategic workshops across the area, Word Collective supports and encourages believers who are working to transform and heal their own communities. We’ve worked in over 14 Latin American countries, and helped believers in those countries to:
- Identify their community’s needs and strategize how to best meet those needs
- Effectively share God’s Word with unreached people groups in their countries and train other leaders in the region to do the same
- Enter recently traumatized communities in trauma-informed ways
- Respond to the trauma caused by natural disasters
- Teach youth and their leaders how to create sustainable, story-based discipleship models
- Develop trained, confident leaders
- Evangelize communities who have not been receptive to the Gospel by sharing Bible stories and train others how to do so
- Spend time encouraging believers
- Learn how to create story-based discipleship sets
Our Word Collective staff has built a network of strong relationships with Latin American churches so that we can support what God is already doing through them.
