Brian Peterson served as a missionary with the International Mission Board (IMB) for 25 years, including 18 years in India, where he focused on contextual ministry among High Caste Hindus. Since retiring from the field, Brian and his wife Linda have continued to invest in the global church by training U.S.-based churches and Christian organizations in effective strategies for Hindu evangelism and discipleship.

A major area of ongoing ministry for Brian has been supporting the work of Stephen and Tricia Stringer. Having previously served under their leadership on the Innovative Strategies Team (IMB – South Asia), Brian later accepted their request to develop and lead prayer strategies for their Oral Bible Translation efforts through SRV Partners. His contributions include initiating weekly Prayer Shields for the Stringers and each member of their Leadership Team, directing a focused three-day Prayer Retreat in September 2023, and guiding the team through intentional seasons of prayer and fasting.

Currently, Brian and Linda serve with Word Collective, where they continue to lead in the development of prayer strategies and are actively recruiting, training, and supporting a broader team of intercessors.

Brian’s involvement with the Stringers’ ministry is rooted in a long-standing personal relationship and shared vision. He strongly affirms the foundational values of their work—Bible storying, trauma healing, empowering local churches for Bible translation, and a deep commitment to evangelism and church planting.
