Angela

I’m Angela, an interpreter from the Middle East, and I currently serve as a part-time facilitator with Word Collective. I first connected with the team while interpreting for their trauma healing sessions and field visits in my country. At the time, I was experiencing my own trauma, and the sessions deeply touched my heart. I remember I could not stop crying the first session and felt so embarrassed in front of the others especially that it was the first time I see them! I knew it was a calling. I began volunteering with the ministry, and eventually joined the team in a more formal role. Since then, I’ve facilitated trauma healing sessions in war zones, refugee camps, and other high-risk areas, offering support to people who have experienced deep pain firsthand, as well as to missionaries and local trainers serving in traumatized communities. I love what I do, and I believe in the power of hope, faith, and community in the healing process. It’s an honor to walk alongside others in their healing journey and to witness hope take root in the hardest places.
